About Us

The GTA Rehab Network is a recognized regional leader in improving the planning and delivery of rehabilitative care.

We bring a system-level perspective to issues impacting rehabilitative care, supporting collaboration among our members and partners to create the most effective, coordinated system of rehabilitative care for the GTA.

We believe rehabilitation is a key component in provincial health reform. Rehabilitation improves patient outcomes and experience, helps people remain independent, shortens hospital stays, reduces costs and helps patients flow through the system.

The GTA Rehab Network works with its members to:

  • evaluate, innovate and spread leading practices that contribute to high quality and efficient rehabilitative care
  • conduct system-level data analysis to inform and promote emerging models of rehabilitative care and assess the impact of system changes, e.g., bundled care
  • advocate for the essential role of rehabilitation in providing high quality, connected care.

Details of our current initiatives can be found under Strategic Initiatives.

Our members are publicly funded hospital and community-based organizations across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) that provide rehabilitation services.

The GTA Rehab Network has provided secretariat expertise and support to the Rehabilitative Care Alliance since its inception. The RCA is a province-wide collaborative focused on strengthening and standardizing rehabilitative care across Ontario. While it is a separate entity, some GTA Rehab Network secretariat staff are cross-appointed to the RCA.
