Throughout the spring and summer, the GTA Rehab Network connected with members through interviews, met with Coordinating Council and hosted a strategy intensive to refine its direction through to 2028. These efforts resulted in a Strategic Framework for 2024-2028, which builds upon the Network’s strong track record and identifies four key goals:

  • Healthier Communities: We will influence a health system based on upstream prevention, equity and rehab as essential to all care.
  • Excellence and Efficiency: We will mobilize knowledge to support the best processes for the populations who need rehab care.
  • Data and Evidence-Informed Planning: We will expand our role as the hub for the use and application of data as critical for system planning.
  • Collective Voice: We will advocate for systemic change by bringing together voices from across the GTA.

These goals reflect our belief that high-quality rehab should be accessible, embedded across the continuum of care, data-driven, and collaborative. As the health system continues to evolve, Coordinating Council and the Secretariat will monitor changes in the system and adjust the plan as necessary.
