Call for abstracts now open: Best Practices Day 2025
Date: October 23, 2024
The GTA Rehab Network is again planning for an informative and engaging Best Practices Day (BPD)! Mark your calendars today and keep these key dates in mind:
- The next BPD will take place on May 9, 2025. By popular demand, the conference will once again be held virtually to help ensure broad accessibility and participation.
- Interested in presenting at BPD? The Call for Abstracts is now open – submit your best work before the November 22nd deadline.
In addition, the Network is pleased to welcome Dr. Sander Hitzig as the new Chair of the BPD Planning Committee. Dr. Hitzig is the Program Research Director and Senior Scientist at St. John’s Rehab Research Program, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, and an Associate Professor at the University of Toronto. His extensive research focuses on disability, aging, and rehabilitation; evaluating the impact of disability on health; identifying factors that enhance community well-being; and developing evidence-based strategies to improve integrated models of care.
Dr. Hitzig comes highly recommended by our outgoing chair, Dr. Larry Robinson, and is no stranger to the conference, having both presented his work and attended several times. His wealth of experience in both research and conference planning will be invaluable as we begin preparations for BPD 2025.
We look forward to another successful event under his leadership!
